Lewis & Clark Elementary School

In June 2013, the Richland School Board selected Design West, Kennewick, to be the architectural firm for the new Lewis & Clark Elementary School project. The new Lewis & Clark will be 65,000 square feet in size and house 630 students. Listed below is the project timeline.

Groundbreaking - May 22, 2013 - Tri-City Herald video

Construction of the new Lewis & Clark Elementary School is officially underway now. RSD officials broke ground Thursday on the $15.5 million project. Fowler General Construction is the general contractor. The school will open in August 2015.

Initial artist rendering for the "three sisters schools"

Design West architects has provided this initial artist rendering of the new Lewis & Clark Elementary School. This same design will be used for the other "three sisters schools", Marcus Whitman Elementary and Sacajawea Elementary. This is not the final rendering.

Site Plan approved

In August 2013, the Richland School Board approved the site plan for the new Lewis & Clark Elementary School. In the pdf image link below, the new school is on the right and the existing school is on the left. The existing school will be demolished once the new school opens.
